A man recovered from Grimsby Docks has been formally named.

Frenchman Francois Delaunay, 41, drowned after he is believed to have fallen from a chemical tanker in the River Humber last month.

His body was recovered from the docks in Grimsby at just after 10.30am on Wednesday, July 5.

Humberside Police previously said there were no suspicious circumstances regarding the man’s death.

An inquest into his death has been opened and adjourned at Cleethorpes Town Hall.
