Plans have been submitted for a previously approved site in Sleaford to reduce the number of homes from 290 to 284.

Proposals submitted by Persimmon Homes Nottingham would see the number of homes built on land off Furlong Way, Holdingham reduced.

Work on the approved site began last month but the developer now wishes to reduce the number of homes built on the site, taking the number of affordable houses from 101 to 99.

The largest change to the plans would see the removal of an apartment block and larger house types built in its place.

As affordable housing will be reduced from 101 to 99 homes, there has been a reduction and replacement of four four-bed dwellings, which will now be used as private houses.

This is due to a reduction in the need of larger affordable housing in the area.

Four smaller homes in the north-eastern corner of the site will now be transformed into affordable housing to cover the shortfall.
