People living in North Lincolnshire could win a jackpot of £25,000 in a new weekly online lottery.

Residents have a one in 50 chance of winning a prize on Lincs Lotto, with tickets at £1 going on sale on Tuesday, July 11.

Half of the price of the ticket goes to a charity of your choice, with players selecting the good cause they want to select when they buy their tickets.

The draw takes place every Saturday at 8pm with the first draw taking end of September.

To be in with a chance of winning, you must match the first or last two to six numbers in a row to win.

Winners will be notified by email.

The winning numbers will also be published on the website, Facebook and Twitter.

Councillor John Davison, cabinet member for business, transformation and finance at North Lincolnshire Council, said: “This is a great opportunity for local communities to benefit from the money raised through Lincs Lotto as 50 pence of every £1 goes to your chosen good cause.

“And it’s great for players as they are in with a chance of winning a prize, including the £25,000 jackpot.

“We believe we are the only council in the Humber region to set up our own lottery scheme.

“It’s a great idea that enables money to be ploughed into local communities to benefit North Lincolnshire residents.”
