Wanted man who took to Lincolnshire rooftop for THREE days to appear in court

He was arrested following a three-day rooftop standoff.

Wanted Lincolnshire man Kyle Ferguson who was arrested following a rooftop incident in Dryden Road, Scunthorpe has now been charged with a number of offences.

Ferguson, 23, of Salisbury Close in Scunthorpe, will appear before Grimsby Magistrates’ Court on Friday, August 18, after the three-day rooftop standoff.

He will face numerous charges which include:

  • Criminal damage
  • Affray
  • Burglary
  • Threatening a person with a blade/sharply pointed article in a public place,
  • Racially/religiously aggravated intentional harassment
  • Road traffic offences

Superintendent Dave Hall who leads community policing in Scunthorpe said: “We have charged Kyle Ferguson with numerous offences following an incident in Scunthorpe this week and he will now appear before the courts today.

“Additionally two further arrests have been made as part of the wider investigation and two 17-year-old boys have been released from police custody under investigation whilst our enquiries continue.

“I want to thank the local residents for their patience and co-operation during the recent disruption to their daily lives. They can be reassured that we will continue to provide a high visibility policing presence in the area to help ensure residents feel safe in their local community.”
