Witness appeal after car catches fire in Lincolnshire

It is not yet known if it was deliberate.

Update: This incident is now being investigated as an arson offence.


Police are appealing for witnesses after a car caught fire in Boston yesterday.

The incident happened at around 11pm on Monday, August 15 on St Nicholas Road.

Police are currently investigating how the car caught alight and say it is possible that the fire could have been deliberate, however, that cannot be confirmed at the time of writing.

There have been no arrests or injuries.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: “Anyone who was in the area at the time is asked to contact 101 quoting incident 589 of the August 14.

“Alternatively contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, or report it online at Crimestoppers-uk.org.”
