Man charged with two petrol station robberies in Grantham

The robberies took place within a few days of each other.

A 22-year-old man has been charged with two petrol station robberies within four days in Grantham.

Matthew Wood, of Barrowby Road, Grantham, was charged by Lincolnshire Police on September 24, and has been remanded in custody.

The first robbery happened at the Jet service station on Manthorpe Road at around 8pm on Monday, September 18.

Just three days later, at around at around 8.45pm on Thursday, September 21, the Somerby Hill service station was targeted.

Wood will appear at Lincoln Crown Court on October 23.
