Tributes to young dad named locally after roadside crash near Lincoln

“Can’t actually put it into words, devastated.”

Tributes have been pouring in following the death of a man who was hit by a car and killed on the roadside near Lincoln this weekend.

The man, named locally as Kyle Coussens, 26, was hit by a car on the B1188 between Canwick and Branston at around 9pm on September 9.

A 25-year-old local man, who was not the driver of the car, was arrested, however has now been released under investigation while the enquiry continues.

A number of friends have taken to social media to pay tribute to the young dad.

Arran Hillary said: “Can’t actually belive this.

“RIP Kyle. Thoughts are with your little man and family at this horrible time.”

Jonny Gray added: “Absolutely gutted to hear the news that one of my best mates from my teenage years has been taken.

“I know it’s been years but it wasn’t that long back we were talking about meeting up with our kids and having a proper catch up.

“Just goes to show life truly is too short. Cruel world, RIP Kyle.”

Sam West said: “Can’t actually put it into words, devastated.”

Danny Warner posted: “Thoughts go out to your family. You were a pleasure to know and a work mate gone to soon. RIP Kyle.”

Any witnesses who have not already spoken to officers at the scene are asked to call 101, quoting incident number 449 of September 9.
