New £2.8m hall opened at Lincoln junior school

The second phase is due to be ready in the summer of 2018.

Pupils and staff from St Faith & St Martin Church of England Junior School in Lincoln are celebrating after their new school hall was completed ahead of schedule.

The new space makes use of a previously disused bank of grass to the left of the school site that borders Yarborough Road in the centre of the city.

The new hall boasts over 200 square metres of space where the school will carry out their daily collective worship, during the morning, and their P.E and sports sessions in the afternoon.

Now, the school build will move onto Phase 2 where a new two-floor learning space will be created to house state of the art classrooms to serve the centre of Lincoln city.

The second phase is due to be completed by Kier Group PLC and is due to be ready in the summer of 2018.

Martin Kyle, Headteacher, said: “This is such a fantastic space for our school.

“We continue to grow in size and the recent opening of our new school library and new music room are more than complemented by our school hall which will we hope help to start the careers of Lincoln’s next Olympic heroes!”
