Chubby man in joggers wanted after two assaults and robberies in Grimsby

Police have released descriptions of the suspects.

Lincolnshire Police are searching for two men, one of whom was described as chubby and wearing a jogging suit, in connection with two assaults and robberies in Grimsby.

The incidents both occurred at around 6.30am on November 18.

One victim was allegedly assaulted and threatened with a bottle by the men at the junction with Hainton Avenue and Patrick Street. He had an amount of money stolen from him.

The other victim was on his bike when the men approached him further along Hainton Avenue. Again he was allegedly assaulted, threatened with a bottle, and had his bike stolen.

The suspects made off towards Margaret Street.

Both men have been described as white. One was of a “chubby” build, 5ft 9ins, with short brown hair and wearing a grey jogging suit.

The other was thin, 5ft 7ins, wearing a black hooded top and black trousers. He also had dark hair.

Detective Constable Nigel Morgan from Grimsby Communities Investigation team said: “These were unprovoked crimes involving two early morning assaults and robbery of men who were unknown to the suspects.

“I am concerned with the potential threat of violence used and am very keen to find these two individuals.
