Lincolnshire WAG Rebekah Vardy forced out of I’m a Celeb trial due to medical reasons

Rebekah became the first celebrity to be ruled out of a trial before it began.

I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here contestant Rebekah Vardy was forced to withdraw from yesterday’s Bushtucker Trial due to medical reasons.

Rebekah, who lives in Stainby, Grantham, became the first person to be ruled out of a trial before it began in the show’s 17-year history.

The wife of England and Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy was supposed to face the Fear Factory alongside politician Stanley Johnson, but was ruled out on medical grounds.

Before she set off for the trial, the 35-year-old said: “I don’t feel too good today, I’m feeling a bit lethargic but when we get down there I’m sure I’ll be absolutely fine.”

The camp medic, Medic Bob, told Rebekah that her blood pressure was “quite low” and “because you’ve been feeling weak, I’m going to have to rule you out.”

He then told the cameras: “This is the first time I’ve had to stop a celebrity from doing a trial, so I don’t take it lightly.”

Rebekah said she was “absolutely devastated” that she could not do the trial with Stanley.

Former Scottish Labour Party leader Kezia Dugdale replaced Rebekah in the task and won five stars for the camp.
