Teen arrested after two assaulted near Lincoln McDonald’s

A teenager has been arrested after two people were assaulted near to the McDonald’s restaurant at the Carlton Centre.

Police were called to the drive-thru restaurant at around 2.20am on Saturday, December 23.

A man and woman were taken to Lincoln County Hospital after they were assaulted. They have now been treated and released.

A 19-year-old man was arrested and taken to custody.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesperson said: “Anyone who was in the area at around 2.20am this morning and saw the incident is asked to contact police on 101.

“A cordon around the area has now been lifted.”

Allegations have been posted on social media suggesting that one person suffered a shooting injury. This has not been confirmed by Lincolnshire Police.
