Anyone wanting to stand for election is now being asked to submit their nomination papers by 4pm on Friday, January 26.
Nominations can be submitted between 9am and 5pm from now until Thursday, January 25 and 9am to 4pm on to Friday, January 26.
Delivery of the Nomination Paper and Consent to Nomination must be by hand, and can be by the candidate or their representative.

People can only vote if their name is on the Register of Electors for the ward, which covers the parishes of Doddington and Whisby; Eagle and Swinethorpe; North Scarle; Swinderby; Thorpe on the Hill; and Witham St Hughs.
The current register was published on January 1 2018.
Anyone wanting to vote by post must complete and return a postal vote application form and before 5pm on Wednesday, February 7.
Proxy vote applications should be completed and returned by 5pm on Wednesday, February 14.

The election will also be combined in the parish of Thorpe on the Hill with the Neighbourhood Plan Referendum.

We are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after a fail to stop in Welton, Lincoln.
It’s believed a black or grey 4×4 or SUV vehicle collided with a silver Mini Cooper that was parked along Cliff Road. The incident was reported just after 3pm today.

A snack bar in Lincoln has been told to make improvements in several areas after being given a one-star food hygiene rating.
Monks Road Snack Bar, located on 23 Monks Road, was visited by city council inspectors on May 25, 2022 and the rating was recently published on the Food Standards Agency’s website.
The standards found at the time of inspection showed that improvement was necessary in the areas of ‘hygienic food handling’ and the ‘Cleanliness and condition of facilities and building’.
It was also deemed that there was “major improvement necessary” relating to the ‘Management of food safety’.
Monks Road Snack Bar was previously given five-star ratings in June 2016 and September 2018.
