Ten days of road closures for repairs in Reepham

Be aware.

Resurfacing works have been set for Station Road and Fiskerton Road in Reepham next month, meaning drivers will face a series of road closures.

Repairs to sections of worn-out carriageway will begin on the week commencing February 26.

For the duration of the resurfacing works, a complete daytime road closure of Station Road and Fiskerton Road will be in place from 8am to 7pm, Monday to Friday, as well as on Sunday, March 4, when works will be carried out near the level crossing.

The scheme is expected to last for ten days, subject to reasonable weather conditions.

The road will be opened to traffic outside of working hours and access to properties will be maintained throughout the works; however, access may be limited depending on where work is taking place.

Bus stops on Station Road and Fiskerton Road will not be in service for the duration of the work.

The signed diversion routes for the closure will be via High Street/Hawthorn Road to Croft Lane to Church Lane to Fiskerton Road E/Lincoln Road/High Street to Chapel Road/Reepham Road and vice versa.

Councillor Richard Davies, Executive Member for Highways at Lincolnshire County Council, said: “As part of these works, we will be resurfacing parts of Station Road and Fiskerton Road in Reepham to replace road material that is nearing the end of its serviceable life.

“We intend to do everything we can to minimise disruption throughout these planned improvements, and ask for your continued patience while these works are carried out to ensure the carriageway remains safe for use.”
