Trains suspended due to huge fire at Nottingham station

Trains affected on local lines.

Fire crews are battling a large blaze at Nottingham railway station which is affecting trains across the regional network.

The station was evacuated after the fire started at around 6.30am on Friday, January 12.

Flames were seen and smoke filled the foyer of the building.

All trains have been stopped from entering and leaving the platforms. Commuters are being asked not to travel to the station.

Disruption is expected to continue for much of the day.

Trains are affected on the following routes:

  • Nottingham/London St Pancras Matlock/Nottingham/Newark
  • Nottingham/Mansfield/Worksop
  • Leicester/Lincoln/Grimsby
  • Nottingham/Grantham/Skegness
  • Liverpool/Nottingham/Norwich
