This is where trees have fallen down on Lincolnshire roads this morning

Strong winds are currently bombarding the county.

Trees have fallen down across Lincolnshire roads after gusts of around 50mph hit the county.

The A607 in Denton, south-west of Grantham, is blocked in both directions between Main Street and Top Road/Saltby Road at Croxton Kerrial.

A tree is also down on Canwick Hill heading into Lincoln, with another one falling in Scampton.

Lincolnshire Police have confirmed that they have received no reports of injuries.

Strong winds are currently bombarding the county, with heavy rain passing through eastwards this morning.

The rain is expected to have cleared by early this afternoon, but temperatures will be noticeably cooler, dropping from around 12°C to 7°C.

This theme is set to continue for the rest of the week, with cooler but drier conditions.
