Watch police catch Cleethorpes drug dealer red-handed with thousands of stolen goods in her home

She has been jailed.

A Cleethorpes drug dealer has been jailed for two-and-a-half years after police found her with an astonishing 2,000 items of stolen goods in her home.

Lesley Mooney, 55, was caught in the act after police raided her terraced Brereton Avenue home on March 13, 2017, discovering dozens of shopping bags filled with drugs and an array on items ranging from watches to baby milk.

Mooney was jailed at Grimsby Crown Court on Thursday, January 25, after earlier pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply class A drugs and handling stolen goods.

Following the sentencing, Humberside Police have released footage from when officers searched the property and made their discovery.

The video shows Mooney looking suitably unimpressed as police find make-up, dozens of cans of deodorant, DVDs, candles, electric toothbrushes, clothing for adults and children, toys, hair clippers, a boxed iron, coffee, chocolate, a Dyno saw and a Milwaukee drill.

Sergeant Dan Healey of Cleethorpes Community Policing Team said: “Drugs and drug related crime including theft and handling stolen goods have a very negative impact on communities and we will always work hard to tackle this.

“I am pleased that the courts have passed this sentence today which should serve as a warning to others that drug dealing will not be tolerated and we will work with the courts to take dealers off the streets.

“I hope that the community are reassured by the result today and continue to support us in tackling criminality.

“I would encourage anyone with any information about drug dealing, theft of handling stolen goods to contact us by calling 101. You can also report information anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
