Council to fix 41m-long ‘void in the road’ in Crowland

It stretches over 133 square metres.

Lincolnshire County Council will fix a 41 metre long “void in the road” in Crowland this weekend.

The works will start on Spalding Road on Saturday, February 24 from 7.30am until Sunday morning.

It’s unclear what caused the large pothole which stretches over 133 square metres.

The diversion route for the closure will be via Barrier Bank, A16 and James Road and vice versa.

A highways spokesperson said: “Depending on the severity of what we find, it may be necessary to patch the void and come back at a later date to permanently fix the problem to prevent this happening again.

“However, if this is the case, we will do our best to minimise disruption as much as possible.”
