It’s a zero! Lincoln Chinese takeaway gets worst hygiene score in the city

The worst rating possible.

The Forum Chinese Takeaway in North Hykeham will need to make urgent improvements following a food hygiene rating score of zero.

It’s the only business in the city with a score lower than 1.

Health inspectors from North Kesteven District Council visited the business off Newark Road on January 11, 2018, and gave the business the lowest possible rating.

The scores, last updated in the public domain on February 12, were:

  • Food hygiene and safety – Poor
  • Structural Compliance – Very bad
  • Confidence in Management – Little

A food hygiene rating of zero means that urgent improvement is necessary. The business is seen as operating at almost total non-compliance to legal food hygiene regulations.

As of 2019, it will become mandatory for all businesses selling or serving food for public consumption to display their hygiene rating sticker.

The Lincolnite contacted the business for a statement about the recent rating from inspectors, but have not received a response by the time of publishing.
