Lincoln High Street shop damaged in overnight fire

Severe damage to all inside facilities.

Update: The cause of the blaze has been put down to an accidental electrical fault.


The Chameleon Print shop on Lincoln High Street has been severely damaged by a fire at the premises overnight.

More than six crews attended the blaze which was reported shortly after 10pm on Monday, February 19.

Firefighters tackled the blaze through the night. Crews from Lincoln, Waddington, Saxilby and North Hykeham were in attendance.

The incident was scaled down in the early hours for investigators to asses the cause of the fire, which remains unclear.

The shop was severely damaged by the fire.

This morning there was severe fire damage to the printer room on the ground floor, as well as smoke damage to the remainder of the ground floor.

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue said there was also moderate fire damage to first floor store room, and smoke damage to rest of the first floor.

No one is believed to have been injured.

The shop is closed and the neighbouring King Shawarma premises appears unaffected.
