Lincolnshire braced for more ice and snow

Expect further cold and icy conditions

Drivers in Lincoln and Lincolnshire have been warned to expect snow and ice across the county from tomorrow.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather alert as temperatures are set to plummet below 0℃.

Sleet and snow showers are likely between 3pm on Tuesday and 9:30am on Wednesday.

A snow shower is also expected overnight, however there will be heavier bursts from tomorrow afternoon.

A yellow warning for snow and ice has been issued by the Met Office

Met Office forecasters said the clear skies will lead to formation of ice in certain places, with one to four centimetres of snow. Rain and sleet are expected along the coasts.

The temperature is expected to drop down to minus three degrees Celsius on Tuesday night and is expected to stay around minus two until Wednesday morning.

The yellow weather warning of snow and ice might cause delay in traffic.

The Met Office has advised the public to steer clear of untreated surfaces as they can be injury prone due to the surfaces become icy.
