You wool love it! Lincoln gets its first Hobbycraft

One for the arts and crafts lovers.

Arts and crafts giant Hobbycraft has officially opened its first Lincoln store off Tritton Road, and shoppers queued at the door to be the first to enter.

The new shop at Valentine Retail Park created 23 new jobs and offers a wide selection of craft essentials, paper products, sewing and knitting kits and baking tools.

On opening morning, Wednesday, April 4, customers queued for the chance to receive special open day freebies and browse the colourful shelves.

Hobbycraft was founded in 1995 and now has more than 90 stores across the UK.

Store manager, Tracey Goddard, said previously: “We’ve been working really hard to ensure that the store will be packed full of the most exciting crafting products, which will help our customers create some fantastic artistic projects.

“Our new colleagues are all dedicated crafters, and are ready to inspire and share their knowledge with locals of all crafting abilities.

“We’ll also be in touch with local artists, who will be invited to spend time at the store to showcase their own skills.”
