It’ll be opening slightly later than planned, but Lincoln’s first Hotel Chocolat store is beginning to tempt eager chocoholics on the High Street.
The new chocolaterie will open in the former Ernest Jones jewellery store on May 18, rather than May 3 as first announced.
It will be competition for nearby Thorntons, as well as the independent chocolate and sweet shops in the city.
Hotel Chocolat first launched in London in 2004. It currently has 93 shops as well as a number of cafés and restaurants around the world.
Some 10 new jobs will also be created.
A spokesperson told The Lincolnite previously: “The store will be selling everything from elegant gift boxes of chocolate to your everyday chocolate fix, all made according to our mantra – More Cocoa, Less Sugar – for a satisfying cocoa hit, it will also be serving our ‘Ice Cream of the Gods’.”
