At least two cars were severely damaged.

Residents of Portland Street woke to a hit-and-run wreckage this morning.

At least two cars have been severely damaged on the street after the crash just before 5.30am on Thursday, May 10.

Lincolnshire Police said the crash involved a Jaguar and a Megane and that the driver of the Jaguar fled the scene.

Police are looking for the person who had been behind the wheel of the Jaguar, described as a blonde-haired man.

Both cars have now been recovered and it’s not believed anyone was injured in the crash.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesperson said: “If anyone who hasn’t already spoken to police knows anything, we would appreciate them getting in touch via 101 quoting incident 33 of May 10.”

Local resident Tom Washington told The Lincolnite: “I went out of my front door to walk my dog (around 6am) to find this.

“We’re all shocked this morning to see this happen right outside our homes.

“The poor disabled man who owns the green car can’t get about now.”
