Hammer men wanted after robbery spree

They threatened victims with a hammer in two separate incidents.

Humberside Police are searching for two men in connection with a spate of hammer robberies in Grimsby.

The men allegedly threatened victims with a hammer in two incidents, before making off with money and property.

The first incident happened at around 12.30am on June 14 on Eleanor Street where men are said to have threatened a teenager with a hammer before stealing money and a bicycle.

The second incident happened on Oxford Street a few minutes later. A man was threatened and, after a brief altercation, was assaulted by one of the men. He sustained injuries to his eye and nose but it is not believed that the hammer was used.

The suspects are described as in their 20s with short brown hair. One was wearing a light grey tracksuit, the other a dark one. One man was described as white while the other was described as mixed race.

Humberside Police ask that anyone who may have seen anything contact them quoting incident 14 or 19 of June 14.
