Man charged with Louth woman’s murder

She was found dead at her home.

A 27-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a 35-year-old woman in Louth.

Marie Gibson, 35, was found dead at her house on Lacey Garden in Louth on Saturday, June 9, after police were called at 1.40pm.

Shortly after officers arrested Shane Murphy, 27, of Little Lane in Louth and questioned him at Skegness police station.

He was later charged with murder and is due to appear at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on Monday morning.

Police did not release many details about the murder and are appealing for anyone who was in the area around Lacey Gardens between 1pm and 2pm to contact them.

The incident number is 199 of June 9 and people can call the 101 non-emergency number.
