Person seriously injured in Grimsby dock incident

Developing story.

A person has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after an incident at Alexandra Dock in Grimsby.

Police and ambulance crews rushed to the scene, where many large transporter ships dock, at around 10am on Monday, June 25

It is not clear at the time of writing how the incident occurred, however emergency services have described injuries as “traumatic”.

It is believed the person injured was a worker at the dock.

East Midlands Ambulance Services: “We received a call at 10:07 to an incident on Alexandra Dock in Grimsby.

The caller reported a patient who had suffered a traumatic injury.

“We sent a double crewed ambulance and the Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire Air Ambulance to the scene. One patient was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary by air ambulance.”
