Burst water main closes section of Free School Lane

Anglian Water are currently on site

A section of Free School Lane will be closed for at least two to three days due to a burst water main.

On Sunday a mini river was seen running down Free School Lane, which appeared to have raised the tarmac and pavements from the pressure of the water bubbling up.

The issue was reported to Anglian Water during the evening of Sunday, July 22 and workers are currently on the scene now, on Monday, July 23, to try and fix the problem.

A spokesperson for Anglian Water at the scene told The Lincolnite: “A section of Free School Lane will be closed for at least two to three days”.

At around 7.30pm tonight there was a mini river down Free School Lane due to a suspected burst water pipe. It appears to have raised the tarmac and pavements from the pressure and water is bubbling up. The issue has been reported to Anglian Water.
