Council to fix two Nettleham roads

Road improvements in line for this Lincoln village.

East Street and Scothern Road in Nettleham, are in line for pothole fixes and improvements.

Resurfacing works are due to begin on Monday, July 16, and expected to be completed on Sunday, July 22. To allow the works to take place safely, road closures will be required, with local diversions put in place.

Mark Heaton, programme leader – surfacing and patching at Lincolnshire County Council, said: “Both these roads have suffered a significant amount of wear and tear over the years and are in need of repair.

“By fully resurfacing them, we’ll ensure they are fit for purpose for years to come.

“There will be some local disruption while the works are carried out, for which we apologise, and we’d encourage motorists to use alternative routes wherever possible during the improvements.”
