Lincoln High Street bump turns into assault

An elderly man was allegedly assaulted and left with a split lip and black eye after being accused of deliberately bumping into a woman with a pushchair on Lincoln High Street.

The incident happened outside Argos at 2pm on June 16 when a man in his 70s was accused by the woman who had a pushchair with two children in it.

The woman, who is described as mixed race and wearing a bright orange top, then allegedly assaulted the victim who was walking with his wife at the time of the attack.

The elderly man’s wife was also assaulted, police said.
