Patient airlifted to hospital after A1 crash

The A1 is closed in both directions

A person has been seriously injured after a crash involving a car and a red single decker bus on the A1 at Colsterworth.

Incident 214 was reported to police at 1.16pm on Monday, July 2 and one person is currently en route to Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham by ambucopter after suffering serious injuries.

Emergency services are at the scene of the incident, which took place between B6403 Stamford Road and Honey Pot Lane, and police are advising motorists to avoid the area.

The A1 is closed in both directions between the A151 and B668 according to Highways England.

There is stationary traffic in both directions between Colsterworth Services Junction in Colsterworth and Stretton.
