Kenwick and Clumber holiday parks sold for £25m

Investment into regional holiday market

A UK holiday park operator has invested in a park estate in Lincolnshire, along with another East Midlands leisure destination, in a deal worth at least £25million.

Coppergreen has purchased Kenwick Park Golf Hotel and Spa and Lodge Park in the county, as well as Clumber Park in Nottinghamshire, to double the size of its portfolio.

Kenwick Park near Louth currently has 90 lodges and a 34-room hotel and spa.

The Business Growth Fund has put a further £10million of growth capital into the firm, with HSBC providing £15.3million towards the purchases and general group capital expenditure.

The new funding takes the Business Growth Fund’s total investment in Coppergreen, which is led by co-founders David and Donna Copley, to £21million.

Coppergreen also owns and operates Woodland Lakes in North Yorkshire and Piperdam Golf & Leisure Resort in Scotland.
