Victim named after fatal crash into tree

A cause of death has not been established

A Lincoln man who died after his car crashed into a tree has been identified as an inquest opened to establish the circumstances of his death.

As previously reported, a local man in his 50s who was driving a black Mini Cooper suffered fatal injuries in the incident, which happened just after 1.45pm on Friday, August 3 on Rinks Lane in Bassingham.

The victim has since been identified as Jonathan Paul Lupton.

An inquest into his death was opened on Tuesday, August 14 at Lincoln Coroners Court by coroner SPG Fisher.

A cause of death has not yet been established.
