A loved-up couple celebrated tying the knot in a unique way in Lincoln today.
Gary and Bernice Hardwick hitched a ride on a cosy canal boat Friday, September 14 after their registry office ceremony – the perfect way to tie in their love of fishing.
The couple hired out Oliver Tugboat Trips for the most unique way to travel to their wedding reception at the Sun Inn in Saxilby.
For their special day, the team that run the tug boat kitted it out with lots of decorations, bubbly and even threw in some confetti.
Business owner Bernice told The Lincolnite: “We just wanted something a bit different. We both like water because we both like fishing.
“We always try and support local businesses in the village because that is where our whole romance and everything blossomed.
“Why get the car when you can go down the river on a boat? Because it’s such a busy and stressful time it’s just nice to relax, kickback and be well looked after.”
Congratulations to both Gary and Bernice Hardwick on their big day!
