Man in ‘serious condition’ after street brawl

A large group of men and women clashed on the streets

A man is in hospital with serious head injuries after a street fight between groups of men and women in Boston.

Large groups clashed in the town centre, near to the assembly rooms, just after midnight on September 2.

The argument continued across the road near to the Town Bridge, where a man in his 40s received serious head injuries.

He is currently in hospital in a serious condition.

Dale Broughton was travelling to work early on Sunday morning when he saw police cars and tape in the town centre.

He posted a photo of the scene on social media and wrote: “Another one. Typical Sunday morning now taped off near golden dragon.”

A 35-year-old man local man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. He has since been released under investigation

Lincolnshire Police are appealing for witnesses after the incident and urging anyone with information to contact them on 101, quoting incident 6 of September 2.
