No appetite for Boston food festival

A food festival planned for residents and visitors to Boston has been cancelled after organisers failed to receive a single stall application.

The festival was planned for Sunday, September 23 on Boston Market Place.

It was planned by Boston Borough Council and Lincolnshire Police.

A Boston Borough Council spokesperson said: “Despite publicity and letters and personal visits to restaurant and cafe owners no stands have been booked.

“The event planned for Boston Market Place was being organised by Boston Borough Council and Lincolnshire Police but there appears to be no “appetite” for it.”
