Sincil Bank creatives turn media boxes into art

Dull media boxes have been given a new lease of life

Volunteers have completed the Sincil Bank community art trail and brought a burst of colour to the streets.

Dull, green and often graffitied media boxes have been given a new lease of life on Thesiger Street, Dunlop Street, Scorer Street, Kirkby Street and Grace Street.

Eight new boxes have been painted in the area and the residents seem to love the designs.

When filming the art project residents were keen to share their appreciation and tell reporters how much they were enjoying the bright creations.

It’s part of the LEAP Housing and Support charity community art project, which has now been completed.

Designs were given to them by people in the Lincoln and Sincil Bank community and will form a new art trail that will allow children and visitors to explore south Lincoln.

A final trail, which will have residents exploring the area in South Lincoln, will be launched “very soon.”
