Woman arrested after body found in Skegness

Police are awaiting toxicology results

A 33-year-old woman has been arrested after a body was found in Skegness last week.

As previously reported, the body of a woman in her 40s was found in Skegness at around 12.40pm on Friday, August 31.

Lincolnshire Police cordoned off a section off Roman Bank after the discovery in the town and previously said the death was being treated as “unexplained”.

Lincolnshire Police are awaiting toxicology results and the arrested woman has been released under investigation.

Karen Elizabeth Booth previously told The Lincolnite : “We were travelling to Skegness for a day at the sea side when we came across the police scene.

“There were four police cars, two paramedic cars and an ambulance at about 1:20pm. We could see a police officer behind the cordon.”
