Elderly pedestrian dies after Long Sutton collision

A man and woman in their 80s were injured in the crash

An elderly man has died from injuries sustained in a crash on a street in Long Sutton last month.

Two pedestrians, a man and woman in their 80s, were injured in the collision near the junction of West Street and the Chase at around 9.20am on September 28.

They were both taken to hospital. Lincolnshire Police said their condition at the time did not appear to be life threatening, however the man has now passed away as a result of his injuries.

There have been no arrests or charges in connection to the incident.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesperson said: “Officers would also like to speak to anyone who saw the couple walking in the area prior to the collision.

“If you have any information that could assist this investigation, please call 101 with incident reference number 89 of September 28.”
