The excitement is building for Lincoln Holiday Retreat owner and former Lincolnite of the Week Debbie Grant as she prepares to see her episodes feature in popular television show ‘Four in a Bed’ next week.
As previously reported, the former paramedic revealed to The Lincolnite over the summer that the retreat she created, based on Pig Lane off Skellingthorpe Road, will feature in the show after she spent two weeks filming with Channel Four earlier this year.
The show will air from Monday, November 5, with Lincoln Holiday Retreat the focus of the episode on Wednesday, November 7.
Lincoln Holiday Retreat includes a lodge, a house and a cottage with a total of five bedrooms and after over a year and a half in business Debbie is looking forward to seeing her television debut on screens, with the winner set to be announced on Friday, November 9.
She told The Lincolnite: “It was what I expected it to be on such a popular show, it was more fun than I expected. It was hard work, they were long days, but I met some great people and I’ve made some really good friends from it.
“Light those fireworks because celeb Deb is going to sparkle, making Lincoln proud.”
Between Debbie and her holiday bookings manager Keiron they have over 60 years experience from working in the NHS.
She added: “I was the first paramedic to have a baby and stay working and Kieron was the only paramedic team leader county wide.
“From 1988 to today women have taken a firm leadership role in the work place and this in my opinion improves patient experience.
“I’ve gone from hospitals to hospitality. I think there’s a lot of similarities and I think that what makes this place extra special is we’ve taken that caring attitude and we’ve put it into a model of Lincoln Holiday Retreat that works.”
