Man tries to rob shop with fake gun

He left empty handed though

A man with a fake gun tried to rob a newsagents in Gainsborough on Wednesday.

Officers were called to McColl’s on Spital Terrace at 4.47pm on Wednesday, October 24 as a man wearing a black hooded top had entered the store carrying a weapon, which police believe was an imitation firearm.

The man, believed to be in his 20s, left the store empty handed.
