Sneak peek at new look William Foster pub

There have been some major changes at the local pub

A pub in the city centre is set to pull its first pint after a £100k refurbishment, so we went for a sneak peek.

The William Foster, on Guildhall Street in Lincoln, will open to customers with a completely new look at 5pm on Thursday, October 18.

It was looking rather tired, so the pub decided to strip out all of the interiors and install new fixtures and decorations.

Alongside the interior changes, the team will be kicking off new weekly entertainment with a Quiz Night on Thursdays and a DJ set on Fridays from 9pm.

Jackie Dunn, manager at The William Foster, told The Lincolnite ahead of the reopening: “It’s looked tired for quite a long time but it now looks amazing. It’s been a fantastic refurbishment.

“When we were planning what it would look like it was hard to visualise, but now it’s all coming together so it looks a lot brighter and lighter.

“I just cannot wait to reopen, I want to see what everyone thinks of it and get back to normal service.”

As part of the £100k investment, The William Foster has created five new jobs at the pub, as the current staff move into bigger roles.
