Teenager arrested after Lincolnshire hall arson attack

The 18-year-old remains in custody

An 18-year-old man from Grimsby has been arrested on suspicion of arson and is in custody after a large fire at the derelict Beech Grove Hall in Manby on Monday.

As previously reported, emergency services were called to the property on Sunday evening (September 30) and fire crews from across the county including Louth, North Somercotes, Alford, Mabletherpe, Spilsby, Horncastle, Market Rasen and Lincoln attended.

There was severe damage by fire to the three story derelict building on Park Lane and Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue previously confirmed that the fire was started deliberately.

The fire was extinguished using six main jets and one aerial ladder and there were no reports of any injuries.
