Your chance to be a part of Lincoln Cathedral’s Oliver!

There are lots of different ways you can get involved

There is no other city in the UK where you can be a part of something quite like this.

Lincoln residents will have the opportunity to transform the city’s Gothic cathedral into 19th century London in the biggest project to date for the city’s community theatre group.

Following the sell-out performances of previous years including Jesus Christ Superstar and Jekyll and Hyde, the Starring Lincoln Theatre Company needs you get involved in their new production of Oliver!

Over 200 residents took part in last years’ performance of Jekyll and Hyde and Ben Poole, director of Oliver!, has ambitious plans to make this year bigger and better: “I have to keep reminding myself of how unique and special this is, there’s nothing of its kind in the UK, indeed there’s no other city you could live in that would offer you this opportunity.

“Why would you want to miss out on being part of something truly amazing?

“Oliver! Will be 100% driven by the local community, and when it’s something of this magnitude, rest assured, if you want to get involved, you’re in!

“People need to know there are many different types of opportunities, there are no barriers to participation, whether you’re an actor, musician, technician, you want to help backstage or perhaps with marketing… whatever it might be, come and see us.”

If you are interested in being part of the production, then you’re invited to a public meeting in the Chapter House of the Cathedral on Wednesday October 17 at 7pm to learn more.
