Car driver seriously injured in Lincoln crash with bus

Emergency services are at the scene

A car driver has serious injuries after their vehicle was involved in a crash with a bus on Tuesday afternoon.

As previously reported, a section of Skellingthorpe Road in Lincoln has been closed in both directions after the crash, which happened near the Birchwood Avenue junction at 1.32pm on Tuesday, November 27.

Police, ambulance and the fire service are in attendance and according to AA Traffic it happened not too far from the petrol station.

Rachel Ross contacted The Lincolnite saying she’d been told the whole road was closed from the train lines all the way up past the garage.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: “The driver of the car has serious injuries. It is hard to say how long the road will be closed for.”
