Family pay tribute to man killed in motorbike crash

He loved bikes and Speedway

The family of a man who was killed in a collision on the A1121 at Hubberts Bridge this week have paid tribute to him.

Local man Rod Woodhouse was riding his motorcycle when he was involved in a crash with a car on November 14.

A representative of the family released the following statement: “We would like to inform people of the tragic death of Rod Woodhouse.

“He will be greatly missed”

“Rod loved his bikes and his Speedway, he was a great man and will be greatly missed by his wife Val, his daughter Claire and his wide circle of friends.”

Police arrested a man following the crash, which involved a blue Mercedes.

Investigating officers issued an appeal for anyone who witnessed the collision, or who saw either a blue Mercedes or motorbike prior to the incident, to contact them on 101.
