Looking for something to do this festive season that isn’t shopping or visiting the in-laws? The Lincolnshire Reporter have complied the best of Christmas events happening across Lincolnshire this season to get you in the festive spirit.

Lincoln
Christmas Light Switch On
When: Friday 23 November at 7pm
Where: High Street, Lincoln
Join former Blue Peter presenter Barney Harwood and X-factor star Amelia Lily as they switch on this year’s Christmas Lights in Lincoln. Entertainment will start at 5:30pm with Lincs FM’s Eddie Shaw hosting the event.
Lincoln Christmas Market
When: Thursday 6 – Sunday 9 December
Where: Various locations across Lincoln city centre
The Christmas Market is the staple of Lincoln festivities, with visitors from across the UK coming to the city. There will be over 250 stalls to browse through, with lots of local produce and trinkets made by local artists that would make the perfect Christmas gift. The market will be open Thursday, 12pm – 9:30pm, Friday – Saturday, 10am – 9:30pm, Sunday, 10am – 7pm. Entry to the market is free.
Lincs FM will be hosting the Scunthorpe Christmas Light Switch On once again this year, with entertainment from Ariana Grande by Amilia and a live children’s entertainer. There will also be fireworks following the switch on. Events will be happening from 10am that day in Church Square, including fairground rides and a giant snow globe ideal for the perfect Christmas family selfie.
The Festive Continental Street Market
When: Wednesday 21 November – Saturday 24 November. Open every day from 10am – 5pm.
Where: Church Square, Scunthorpe
The market will feature a mix of continental stalls, with food and produce from across the world. The market will also feature a few stalls from festive-themed traders.

Grantham
Christmas Light Switch On and Christmas on the Green
When: Sunday 25 November from 10am – 4pm
Where: St Peter’s Hill, Grantham
Christmas on the Green will feature a craft market, Santa’s grotto, reindeer and vintage fire engines complete with musical organ. The market will run from 10am with the Christmas light switch on taking place at 4pm. The lights will be switched on by Father Christmas, followed by a firework display that will mark the end of the ceremony.

Louth
Louth Christmas Lights 2018
When: Sunday 2 December at 3:30pm
Where: The Market Place, Louth
The Louth Christmas Lights Switch On will be hosted by Lincs FM host Gave Roberts this year. Entertainment will be taking place from 2-5pm and free festive antlers will be given away. The Christmas market will also be taking place on the same day and will run from 10am – 4pm.

Skegness
Christmas Light Switch On and Illuminated Street Parade
When: Friday 30 November at 4pm
Where: Hildreds, Briar Way, Skegness
Entertainment will start outside Hildreds from 4pm with the parade starting at 6pm. The parade will be led by performers from the The Embassy Theatre’s Cinderella panto, presenters from Lincs FM, the Mayor of Skegness and Santa.
This year, the streets of Woodhall Spa will be packed with stalls and entertainment for this Christmas Fayre organised by the Woodhall Spa Rotary Club. Morris dancers, street musicians and clowns will also be around adding to the festivities.

Sleaford
Sleaford Christmas Lights Switch on
When: Sunday 2 December at 4.15pm
Where: The Market Place, Sleaford
John Marshall from Lincs FM will be hosting this year’s event at Sleaford with entertainment starting from 2:15pm in the Market Place. There will be lots of indoor and outdoor stalls to browse and pick up a Christmas gift or two.
Sleaford Christmas Market 2018
When: Sunday 2 December from 11am – 5pm
Where: The Market Place, Sleaford
There will be a wide array of festive stalls spanning the Market Place, East Gate Car Park and the Town Hall on Sunday 2, as well as a few surprises in the Navigation Yard.

Grimsby
Christmas Lights Switch On and Parade
When: Thursday 22 November from 3pm – 8pm
Where: The Bull Ring, Grimsby
There will be entertainment running from 3pm to 8pm, with festivities taking on a Mary Poppins-theme. At 5:30pm, Father Christmas will lead the festive parade from the Riverhead ahead of the lights switch on at 7pm.
