Firefighters rescue dog from manhole

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue rescued two dogs from ruff situations this week including one which became stuck in a manhole.
Crews from North Hykeham and Lincoln North were sent to Holt Close in North Hykeham on Wednesday, November 14 after a female Great Dane got stuck in a manhole.
The fire crews used “animal strops and manpower” to release the lucky pooch, who was taken to vets by its owners for a check-up.
A photo has been released by the fire service saying the dog is “doing well and recovering nicely”.
This wasn’t the first dog rescue of the week as a crew from Skegness attended Roman Bank on Tuesday, November 13 to rescue a dog stuck in railings.
The crew used holmatro cutting equipment to release the dog without injuries.
