Pedestrian hit by car at busy Lincoln junction

Some bus services have been affected

A pedestrian has been involved in a collision with a car on Laughton Way near the junction of Cabourne Avenue in Lincoln.

The incident involving a pedestrian and a blue BMW occurred at 15:22pm on Monday, November 5.

Both paramedics and police are at the scene, although injuries aren’t thought to be serious at this time.

The road will remain open, however delays are to be expected and Stagecoach East Midlands have tweeted that services 7 and 8 are having to divert via Sudbrooke Drive in both directions.

Lincolnshire Police said: “A collision occurred at 15:22 on Monday 5 between a pedestrian and a blue BMW. At present we believe there only to be minor injuries and we are not looking to make any arrests.

“Roads are to remain open, traffic delays are to be expected.”

The Lincolnshire Police incident number is 266 of November 5.
