Sea of poppies at tank memorial

What a great idea

Pupils at a Lincoln primary school have put up a beautiful sea of poppies at the Tritton Road tank memorial.

Sir Francis Hill Primary School have created the art project out of reused plastic bottles ahead of remembrance weekend.

School children installed the special art project at the foot of the tank memorial on the Brayford Way roundabout.

A local village have also been busy knitting 2,000 for their display at St Thomas’s Church in Heighington.

Hundreds of people are expected to gather this weekend to remember those who served in the World Wars.

Several events have been taking place throughout the week, with even more being held this weekend.
