Seal pups steal hearts at Donna Nook

A beautiful sight

More than 400 seal pups have been born at the Donna Nook nature reserve in Lincolnshire in the last few weeks.

Lincolnshire Reporter photographer Steve Smailes took a trip to the beautiful North Somercotes coastline to join grey seal spectators.

It’s a wildlife spectacle which attracts thousands of visitors from across the UK and the viewing area is open between late October and December.

For the safety of the seals, and to allow them to rest, there are a number of restrictions in place at the site. Visit the Donna Nook warden Facebook page for more information.
